The first strong point is the new cylinder redesigned in the porting to improve gas flow. Furthermore, the stroke brought to 60mm and the diameter of 68.5 mm allow you to reach a displacement of 221 cc. The cylinder is air-cooled but thanks to the aluminium and the particular design of the fins the engine temperature remains lower. The second strong point is the new shell-cast head. It has a modern dome design that makes it much more robust, allowing for a perfect squish band and positioning the long-threaded spark plug centrally with respect to the combustion chamber. The finning is larger to have better heat dispersion and the head gasket is made of silicone steel (not present on the original Vespa) to guarantee maximum sealing during compression between the head and the cylinder. The kit thus renewed allows for increased power and improved performance, keeping it constant over time.
