Lamp saver Current regulator saves lamps 6 volts for VESPA and 6 volt systems TO REGULATE VOLTAGE SUSPENSIONS TO THE BULBS This lamp saver regulator is used on vehicles with 6 volt voltage and exclusively on a single line, therefore it must be connected exclusively to a single wire to regulate the voltage to 6 volts thus avoiding the burning of the bulb of that line. For example, if on my Vespa the rear light continually burns, I simply have to identify the color of the wire that carries the voltage to the rear light bulb, once identified in the group of wires present in the handlebars, I connect (slightly stripping the sheath that covers the wire reaching the copper wires) the yellow wire of the regulator using tin soldering, then I fix the regulator to ground and with the same screw I also fix the black wire with the eyelet so that all the excess voltage is discharged to ground on the vehicle. For example, if all the bulbs on my Vespa burn out, it is advisable to replace the entire stator if it is the electronic version or replace the various light coils if it is the traditional version with points. Or we can fit a voltage regulator so that the headlight voltage is correctly stabilized and all the bulbs do not burn out. ATTENTION: On Vespas with a stop switch with a black ground wire and blue current, it is advisable to fit a dedicated lamp saver since the stop light is grounded when the brake pedal is not used.
