Since their introduction in 2010, SIP rev counters with speedometer have radically changed the market. Functions that were previously only achievable by fitting numerous additional devices have now been combined in a single instrument – and in a discreet way. Analog RPM / Speed / Fuel Gauge Original Look Available in National and International Versions The design of the T5 speedometer with its original look is reminiscent of the popular T5 instruments with an analog tachometer. In addition to RPM and speed, this speedometer can also display temperature. It offers the ability to switch between AF and EGT connection in the menu. Two small buttons allow you to elegantly switch between the digital displays. They are discreetly integrated into the glass of the speedometer. A little extra: Every time you start the engine, the tachometer performs a self-test and creates a Grand Prix feeling. Speed, RPM and fuel gauge are constantly displayed in analog. In addition, the speedometer has two digital displays. Numerous additional functions can be displayed on them. Optionally, also the speed or RPM. Two versions available We have developed two versions of the T5 tachometer: a national one with km/h and an international one with km/h and mph, to offer a wide range of displays for the MPH market. On longer trips, another function comes in handy: you can distinguish between two individual distances with driving time and average speed - perfect for distinguishing between daily and tourist distances. But you can also set the total distance, so you can easily transfer the kilometers traveled to your old speedometer. A special function is the gear indicator. On it you can read the gear engaged at a certain moment. To do this, the speedometer compares the rpm and the speed traveled and calculates the gear ratio. This function must be learned from the beginning, as there are countless possible combinations of primary and rear ratios and individual gear wheels. NOTE Always use spark plugs and plugs with interference suppression. INSTALLATION The installation of this speedometer is very simple. As with the original, the speed is determined by the speedometer cable, but it is also possible to use a speed sensor, which can be purchased as a spare part. This way, if the speedometer cable is worn or broken, the display will still be reliable and functional. In addition, the speed is recorded via the light signal.
