The epic of the Vespa acrobats told by Giuseppe Cau and Ilo Lorenzetti, two of the protagonists of that fantastic adventure, which lasted over fifteen years. It all began in 1952 with an idea by engineer Vittorio Casini, who was looking for yet another way to prove that Vespa is an extraordinary vehicle, with which you can really do anything. After having demonstrated its speed and reliability, Piaggio technicians created a team of men, chosen from among the testers, who toured Europe and drove the crowds crazy with their feats. Which may seem extreme, but in reality are the result of careful technical preparation and a great sense of teamwork. Every event that hosts the performances of the Acrobatic Team, in Italy and abroad, finds a fantastic added value in the show that the white overalls with the blue logo offer to enthusiasts and the curious. From 1952 to 1968 Cau, Chiarugi, Nesti, Cipolli, Lorenzetti and many others entertain and have fun. Their memories and images are collected here to preserve another chapter of the Great History of the Vespa. The volume is enriched with images of each individual figure created by the Piaggio acrobats, accompanied by a detailed explanation of each movement performed by the individual participants to build the figure itself.
